Website relaunch for the Brück group of companies

Brück Group

The Brück Group is a family-run group of companies from the Münsterland region and comprises six companies in the trades and construction industry. The group of companies stands for cross-trade support, expertise and reliability at its three locations in Münster, Essen and Düsseldorf and beyond.

In the course of a comprehensive relaunch of the website, in addition to the visual redesign and the switch to a high-performance content management system (CMS), the aspects of navigation, click depth, recruiting and mobile presentation were also to be fundamentally revised and optimized. In close coordination with the customer, the project was realized from initial research to go-live in a project duration of just under six months. The implementation was carried out through close cooperation between the SEO, content, development and graphics departments.

Comprehensive restructuring work as the basis for improved user guidance and SEO

The structural improvement of the website formed the basis for all further measures. The challenge was to depict the scope of services and career area in such a way that they could be assigned to both the superordinate and individual trades. Using meaningful topic groupings and special content elements, the trades could be incorporated individually without making the URL structure complex. In this way, we achieved short click paths and logical, intuitive operation of the website.

These companies belong to the Brück group of companies:
  • Malerbetriebe Hermann Brück
  • Condor Gerüst (Scaffolding Hermann Brück)
  • Lighting + advertising technology Hermann Brück
  • Glas Theißing
  • Brück Generalbau
  • Messebau Brück GmbH

Maximum performance and flexibility by switching to the CMS ProcessWire

Thanks to a comprehensive structural and technical revision, all requirements and contents of the six trades of the Brück Group could be implemented in an appealing appearance and intuitively operable. The diverse display and setting options of the individual elements enable a broad range of applications for a wide variety of purposes. The open source CMS Processwire is broadly scalable in its range of functions and therefore also perfectly suited for functional expansions as the Brück Group continues to grow.

New structure and technology create the best SEO conditions

The website relaunch not only significantly improved usability, but also fundamentally overhauled the requirements for SEO. As a result, the website now meets the highest requirements in terms of ranking-relevant technical aspects such as page speed, URL structure and crawlability.

Dynamic content - relevant, up-to-date and efficient

The aim was to deliver trade and topic-specific content to the user as required for each page. In order to minimize the effort of maintaining and continuously updating the content in the future, the answer quickly became clear: content elements that can dynamically display existing content were needed. For maximum flexibility, granular setting options were made possible that could meet the high requirements.

    Dynamic content that works:
  • Filter groups and interest-based filters: Numerous filter options for the performance and news section
  • Relevant news per page: Integration of blog posts according to topicality or targeted output via the filter options in the backend
  • Attractive employer: Benefit slider for the career section
  • Own design for the career area of the Brück Group

HR area: career-related web design meets attractive content elements

In addition to the wide range of services, the online presence also focuses on employee recruitment and retention. With the HR campaign "Become a Brückinger!", the Brück Group delivers a strong concept that should also be reflected in the relaunch. In order to clearly differentiate the B2B from the HR area for the user, a career-specific web design was developed, which nevertheless fits perfectly into the basic framework design. Additional, separate career content elements round off the website. In addition to the visual appearance, technical requirements such as data processing for online job portals also played a major role in the implementation.

This is what makes the Brück Group's careers section stand out:
  • Web design: Separate design for career content that fits perfectly into the overall web design
  • Content elements to communicate employer attractiveness (e.g. benefits)
  • Good crawlability of the content for job portals
  • Prefabricated application form and short click paths to the form for an uncomplicated online application
